Hello Friends,
Its been to long since there was an update from my blog. I have been writing a book about churches doing missions and blessing foreign nations. There have been many mistakes made in the past and this is a collection of some of those and how we can overcome them as we give money and physical equipment to 3rd world nations. There have been some hard-won equipment that has been shipped to these nations only to have them stolen at the boarders or taken by other locals from the shipping yard. What this book is about is how to become familiar with nation that you believe God is calling you to, learn the culture, stay with the people, establish lines of communication on the ground, and develop a strategic network to grow and bless that nation. This comes from within the country at its core, building from within and supporting from without. Eventually, this ratio needs to move to 50/50, where the people support themselves 50% of the time and 50% of the support comes from outside. Finally, the largest transition comes from shifting from 50/50 to 80/20 to 100/0. This is where our work is done and we can move on to other parts of the nation or to another nation all together. From this rock, we can now ask the nation we helped support to help us give and sow into other nations and people groups.
This book will be a methodical look at the teachings of Jesus on this subject, and about how to shape nations into the image of Christ. This is a culmination of knowledge built up over the past 10 years and sowing over $70,000 into the nations for small business. We have seen this $70K grow into over 250 small businesses and 200 churches. Now most of these businesses are self-sustaining and able to help sow into new businesses. That is our model: Create self-sustaining businesses that grow and support churches and missions by sowing 5% of their gross income into a communal bucket. Once the bucket has enough money in it, we start a new business that is next in line. Now we have businesses starting every day as the "engine" is entirely working on its own. Think of starting an engine that pumps gas from the earth and then refills itself and then sells the rest for a profit. Self-sustaining! It continually runs on its own and then blesses others to get them going. It really is a move of the people to bless communities, cities, nations, and continents.
