August Business Update!! New Farm Started!!
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
I pray blessings on you and your family as you are reading this. May you receive the increase you have been seeking the Lord for, and may health be restored to your body. I command all sicknesses and diseases to leave your body in Jesus Name and by His authority.
Yes it is time for blessings and for increase as we have seen several years of a down economy, God has decided that it is time to bring things back up and to exceed where we were before. I prophesy that God is going to do amazing things this year in your life because of your faithfulness to Him and to his Word. And if you haven't been connected to God this year, get Connected to Him and get tapped into the wonderful blessings of his blessings, encouragement, healing, direction, countenance, wisdom, and prosperity. Don't we know that God has everything we need? He is all powerful and does not have lack in His Kingdom!!
With that being said, and now that you are blessed on every side, I want you to know that God has opened the door to two more businesses started in Kenya! One is a vegetable farmer named George Waga. He is specializing in Vegetables, Onions, Corn, and Potatoes. GROWTH Group has been blessed with finance from a co-worker of mine named Bill Fisk who has caught God's vision for small business development in 3rd World countries. He graciously has blessed Mr. Waga with the funds he needs to begin his business. We should be funding him within the next week, and will provide updates to Mr. Fisk about how his investment is panning out. Mr. Waga will be purchasing the seeds, fertilizer, and a water pump for irrigation.
UPDATE:
The GROWTH Group Board has discussed and approved that each recipient of the investment money should re-invest 5% of their monthly income back into the GROWTH Group investment pool. This helps the nation of Kenya become self-sufficient by recirculating their economy and further developing their cities through small business.
Pray with us that God's influence and Kingdom (God's rule and reign, or how he wants things done) would be expanded exponentially through the rest of this year and of next. Pray also that GROWTH Group would be able to start its first business in India as planned before the year is out. Pray that God would bless Stephannie and I's business here in the US. We are starting a nail bar to help further support GROWTH Group and to provide funds for business startups.
God Bless and be well,

Mid-Year Report
Hello Friends,
We are mid-way through the year and have been on an excellent pace. We have opened 12 businesses this year!!
The vision that I want you to catch is that we are changing cities little by little to be impacted for the Kingdom Of God. Each business that we create is meant to help and build up others through giving back to the local GROWTH Group of that city. Right now we have a pool of 12 businesses for the year that are continually adding to the centralized account, and are funding new churches and new businesses from their profits. We are able to continually gain momentum through this effort every month. I want you to know that those of you who have partnered have made a difference and this has also resulted in 10 more churches being planted recently. I want to thank each and every one of you.
The vision for the last half of 2013. We need to expand to Mombassa region and get our local GROWTH Chapter started there. This will give us three cities in the country of Kenya. Secondly, we need to start our first business in India within the Khammam region. We are looking for our first business there and are ready to proceed forward once we get word from Bishop Jacob.
God Bless you, it has been a wonderful year this year and we expect big things for the remainder of the year. If you would like me to come speak at your church or small group, please don't hesitate to ask. My email that you can contact me is: Jared.Walther@growth4africa.com. I would gladly show the pictures and present the vision for any of those who have a mission mindset.

God is Faithful (part 2) - Assassination Attempts and Faithful Advancement
Dear Friends,
My partners in Africa and India have given me disturbing reports about physical violence attacks against themselves and on people they know. Below are some excerpts from Edward Khaoya from Kitale, Kenya. There were two assassination attempts on his life within the last 2 months. God is moving with great power and the enemy is coming against that.
From Edward:
"After the 10th anniversary celebration at COG, one man told me that some people had been hired to Murder me that day 19th May 2013 but they were willing to meet me.
I met them and they narrated how there has been a plan to assassinate me.
This is the second attempt. The first attempt was on 3rd of March before elections. It was to look like a pre-election confusion and the second was to be done on 19th March.
A total of Ksh 62,000 was to be paid but ksh10,000 before the execution and the balance after the job.My testimony is that the men that had been hired to kill me offered to record a statement at the police and had the planners arrested.
For all of you who constantly pray for me,May the Lord bless you so much.
I still have a family that needs my care.
I still have more churches to plant
I still have more children's home to establish.
There are still thousands of the hurting and the broken hearted all over the world that needs Gods comfort and encouragement through my ministry.
Thank you very much for your prayers.Thank you God for saving my life.
I know that I will leave to fulfil the purpose for which I was born.
Blessings."
This has been shocking to me as I have stayed with Edward and have been supporting him for the past 7 years. But God is still faithful!! Nothing can stop what God is doing.
Also from India, Bishop Jacob writes:
"One of the widows shared her testimony with me which really touched my heart. (I cannot use name for safety reasons.) She told me that they were serving the Lord full time in a little village. The Hindu radicals came to her village with swords and weapons. All the Christians ran to the fields. Then, they caught this pastor (her husband) and took him to the center of the village. They declared their god's name and cut up his body - one part after another. Finally, they took the pieces and put them in a cloth sack for three days. His wife and little son searched for him. Finally they found the cloth sack. Then, the people in the village said to them, "please do not stay here. The mob will come and kill you also." Then the little boy said to his mother, "Mamma, we cannot go back home. Please ask mob to come and kill us as well, so that we can go to where Jesus is." These words spoken by the little boy could not leave my heart for many weeks. This is only just one story. There are many, many more stories that I could tell of how these faithful men and women, brothers and sisters in the Lord are laying down their lives for the sake of the Gospel."
Note: I just want you to know that it is not easy to take photos in this hostile area when you are doing something for Christians. We have to be very sensitive in our efforts to help and encourage them. It is our deepest desire to help these widows, missionaries and orphan. So, kindly understand that we have to be very discreet in all of our actions. In a few cases we may be able to take pictures, but not sure. Our prayer and goal is to help them."
God is faithful, even in the midst of adversity. Know that God is for you and with you in your struggles.

God Is Faithful
God is faithful.
Let those words sink in. I know that I am, as I need to hear them myself. God is Faithful. Why do we say that? I think that we are slightly reminding ourselves that he is indeed who he says he is. Sometimes we forget this fact. It is comforting to know that He has been himself before creation and after he makes the new earth He describes in Revelation. We all know this place is wearing out, just read the news. It's not really news anymore, it is just death updates and calamity re-broadcasts. We also know that He is coming back. Its been awhile since He has been here...around 2000 or so years. Yeah, I think He's due!
From someone who has faced adversity, I agree with you today on your calling and on your giftedness, that He is faithful. He is faithful to what He has called you to do. Now, that is to say, you are doing what He has called you to do. I know that I have in the past thought He was saying one thing and He actually wasn't. But, He tends to fix those things up pretty fast. I always thought I would live in Illinois for the rest of my life. Wrong. I thought I would live in Chicago and see the Cubs play every once in awhile. Wrong. Nope, He changed everything I thought I would do, but in the grand scheme of things, he is a better "life" driver than I am. Sometimes he likes to get airborne. Maybe I should just enjoy catching some air.
I remind myself that God is faithful because sometimes life is different and not as grand as it could be. On one hand I live in the most prosperous nation on earth, during that world's most advanced breakthroughs. But somehow that just isn't enough. No toys, cars, or other things can compare with just walking with God and knowing that He has it all in his hands. It sure takes a load off when I can remember that. It reminds me that I don't have to try so hard. Maybe God is just saying to do what He asked me to do and let Him bring it about when he gets everything lined up.
I see GROWTH and how it has grown to 150 businesses and around 150 churches on two continents. There was a day that I would tell people about it and they would laugh or chalk it up to "romantic fantasy". But God is Faithful. He has a plan for my life and yours, and its a good one. Don't ever let anyone tell you what God has spoken to your heart is not true. Even if 10 years rolls around and it takes that long to get things off the ground. My wife and I have lasted through some tough battles just to be able to see the promises that God has given us even begin to become visible. I know that we are not alone. You may be just starting out in your journey of faith with God, let alone what he is calling you to do with your life. Know that He is faithful, and in return, be faithful to Him. In the end, its all we got.

10 More Businesses!!!!!
Hello All,
We were able to start 10 more businesses this month due to your contributions. I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart as we are truly living out the name of this orginization "God Reaches Out With These Hands G.R.O.W.T.H"
It is amazing to see what God can do with just the little we have to offer Him. Well, that reminds me of the story of how Jesus multiplied the bread and the fishes in order to satisfy the needs of the people. He takes care of every need we have when we lovingly trust him with what we have available. I want to encourage you to give and to bless others through this organization as you are literally empowering people in Kenya and India through business development to change their city, region, and nation for the better.
Here is a listing of the people who have funds invested to their business this month:
KISUMU:
A3- Mamma Sharon- Chips and Soda
A4- Achieng Omboga- Eggs and Fruit sales
A8- Dan Joanes- Corn Farming
A7- Patrick Ouma- Second Hand Shoes
A2- Zainbu Adhiambo- Shoe Sales

Lovely India
HELLO America!!
I'm back from India and without a scratch thank you very much. We survived two different mobs, one while I was trapped in a car, and another that came to the compound where we were staying. I was able to get through 2 out of the 3 sermons I had prepared. The first was on the promise of what God is doing today through small business and developing countries. I used the text from Genesis 15 where God makes a covenant with Abram about what he is going to do with the land of Israel. I believe that God is doing a new thing with the church and helping fund the mission of the kingdom through small business development. The second message was on the story of Ruth, Naomi, and Boaz (Book of Ruth). I believe that God is raising up people like Boaz who will help and care for the Ruth's and Naomi's of the world until they are raised up and standing on their own two feet.
I have worked with Bishop Jacob from GTSSS www.gtsss.org (website down temporarily) and we have a plan to start 25 businesses in the remote areas of India for the pastors who are serving there. We are praying for 500-600 businesses in the next 2-3 years that would help bring the ratio of funding to an equal footing with interantional donations. Right now the funding is 90% from foreign aid and 10% from local sources. Our goal in GROWTH is to change that percentage slowly down from 90% to perhaps 50/50 split in the next coming years. We have much work to do, but if God is calling you to support a business there, don't be afraid to contact us at info@growth4africa.com

India!
Well HI there,
I am on the way to visit India and to hold a pastors conference for GROWTH Group Inc. Many churches and christian orginizations are finding that the old way of doing things need an update. That update is to find and create a sustainable business to support their efforts locally. I believe the time has come where God is empowering the people that have been seeking a breakthrough for a long time. Pray with me for God to do a mighty work in India and for there to be a receptive audience to my messages of promise, deliverance, and multiplication.
May God bless you

Well Hello There!!
HI!
We have many new businesses to showcase in Kitale. I have uploaded some new ideas and their business plans, and I believe that there are some real winners involved with this batch. 2 businesses are run by the pastor's wives in the area and 30 have joined together to form a construction company. How cool is that?!
They are looking to become the premiere supplier in the Kitale region for construction materials and tools. Your investment can make that happen. If you have a heart for missions but can't go, consider this option to expand the kingdom of God. By supporting a business in Kenya you are helping Kenyans create jobs and start churches from the income that these jobs supply. And here at GROWTH Group we pool those resources to eventually become self-sustainable. That's right, now more money coming in from the outside. It's capitalism with a purpose, a Kindgom Mindset.
Check out the updated website at www.growth4africa.com and click on the business page to see the new Kitale businesses. With your help we can get these off the ground and running. contact info@growth4africa.com to get involved and perhaps go and see what your money has started (one of these days :) ).

First Blog Ever!
This is the first Blog ever for GROWTH Group. Welcome!
I'll get right down to business.
1. There is a GROWTH Group Established for the two cities that we are working with in Kenya. See the leadership page for more on Edward and Nancy Khaoya from Kitale along with John and Rhoda Abwao from Kisumu. Each has a GROWTH entity set up for their city and each have a sizable amount of churches and businesses under their leadership.
2. I am working to get all the business interviews uploaded and on to the website. There is at least 100+ more business proposals to load and to sort through. The problem I am having is that it is hard to match the business video interviews to the actual business plans......If my Swahili was only better...sigh. :)
3. I am working with SkyWay Church on going to India!! They have liked the amount of progress we have made in Kenya and want to build on that approach in the Khummam district (link to where that is............Khummam District Map). We are working on getting all the details sorted, but I will be casting the vision to around 500 pastors in that region and will be expanding to the website www.growth4africa.com soon!
4. Working on the logos for GROWTH Group Inc !! Your thoughts are welcome. Here is a link to the perspective logos we are looking at. Logo Contest for GROWTH Group!! Your thoughts are appreaciated.
5. John Abwao in Kismu just bought more chickens See pictures below. John's Business is doing well. Help support him if you will?
